Applications

SiTech products have a wide range of applications across five industry areas.

Fire Protection

SiTech fire-retardant products have two main applications:

  • SiCoat — family of fire-retardant coatings and wraps for construction elements, pipelines, cableways, automotive interiors and more
  • Si-X TINGUISH — family of solutions for the storage, transportation, and use of Li-Ion and Li-Po batteries, as well as materials designed to prevent the onset and/or spread of thermal runaway

Acoustic Systems

SiTech acoustic products — Si-X MUTE panels — are an acoustic biomaterial designed for a sustainable future.

Nature itself has provided the components for Si-X MUTE: we use only plant fibers (hemp, flax, wood wool, etc.), bound together with the inorganic mineral bonding agent Si-X BINDER of natural origin — ancient algae with a silicon skeleton.

Si-X MUTE panels have excellent acoustic properties, a negative carbon footprint, and are 100% recyclable and biodegradable.

Construction

SiTech products for eco-friendly and sustainable construction are bio-based and have a negative carbon footprint. They enable the construction of safe, eco-friendly, carbon-neutral "Hemp-houses / WW-houses":

  • Si-X THERM — new generation of high-performance insulation boards made from wood wool
  • Si-X FRAME — structural elements (columns, beams, etc.) made from hemp for residential building frames
  • Si-X BOARD — facade panels (Si-X HEMPBOARD and Si-X WOODBOARD) as an alternative to fiber cement and cement-particle boards
  • Si-X SAFE — laminated fire-resistant panels for interior applications and roof sheathing

All SiTech construction products are flame-retardant and classified as B, s1, d0 under EN 13501-1.

Automotive Industry

SiTech products for the automotive industry have two main applications:

  • Si-X TINGUISH — materials for preventing the onset and/or spread of thermal runaway in Li-Ion/Li-Po batteries
  • Si-X PRE — prepreg for manufacturing fire-safe automotive interior components using PCM technology

Agriculture

SiTech has developed a new, unique plant substrate for agriculture called SiAgra. SiAgra is an innovative solution that improves crop yields, enhances soil water retention, increases disease resistance, and helps restore depleted or infertile soils.

SiAgra also significantly increases the production of CO₂-absorbing biomass, contributing further to the decarbonization of agriculture.
