SiTech's flagship acoustic product — a composite acoustic biomaterial based on plant fibers and the patented Si-X BINDER.
Si-X MUTE combines the best of nature and science. We use only plant fibers — hemp, flax, wood wool, etc. — bound together with the inorganic mineral bonding agent Si-X BINDER, which is itself of natural origin: ancient algae with a silicon skeleton.
The result is an acoustic panel with outstanding performance, a negative carbon footprint, and no compromise on fire safety or sustainability.
NRC 0.8–0.95 in standard configurations — broad-spectrum sound absorption
Plant-based raw materials absorb CO₂ during growth — replacing mineral wool saves 14 kg CO₂e/m², replacing polyester felt saves 18 kg CO₂e/m²
Can return to the natural cycle at end of life — no landfill, no incineration required
Classified according to EN 13501-1 — low smoke, no flaming droplets, minimal toxicity of combustion products
Does not release hazardous substances — safe for indoor environments, schools, offices, healthcare facilities
Any shape and size — flat or complex 3D surface; natural wood wool / hemp mat finish, paint, or decorative textile
Non-woven hemp felt panels are manufactured using traditional PCM technology from Si-X PRE prepreg. This enables production of panels in virtually any shape, thickness, and surface finish — from smooth flat panels to complex 3D-relief surfaces.
Panels can be finished with eco-friendly paints or decorative textiles, or left in the natural state of wood wool or hemp fibers.
